Hawaii Five-O desperately needs better writers. Tonight’s screenplay is full of cliches, tangential plot lines, and stupid dialog.

The classic behind the ringtone!

In reference to earlier-this-month’s story of an iPhone alarm interrupting a performance by the NY Philharmonic, more than a few commentators have highlighted a video of violinist Lukáš Kmiťs improvisational response to the ringing of a Nokia cell phone. But only a few of those more-than-a-few have mentioned that the Nokia ringtone originates from the classical guitar piece “Gran Vals” by Francisco Tárrega (see 0:15 of the video above). Harder to play off Crazy Frog, I’d bet.

“Be at rest once more, O my soul
for the Lord has been good to you.”

“How can I repay the Lord
for all his goodness to me?

I will lift up the cup of salvation
and call upon the Lord.

I will fulfill my vows to the Lord
in the presence of all his people.”

Psalm 116:7,12-14 (NIV)
